Research Ready Workshop | October 3, 2018, 5:30-7:30 pm, Linus Pauling 125

Pillars: PURPOSEFUL

The process of getting involved in undergraduate research or creative work with a faculty member can be intimidating, especially for students who are new to OSU. We’re here to help! Join us for an evening workshop where we’ll discuss the benefits of working with a professor at OSU and how to identify and contact the professor you want to work with. You’ll also have an opportunity to hear directly from a panel of OSU professors about what they look for in undergraduates who ask to join their teams. Join us and learn the first steps to getting involved in research!

Sophie Pierszalowski currently oversees OSU's Office of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and the Arts. She is responsible for coordination of centralized undergraduate research programs, showcases, and resources. It is her personal and professional goal to develop and deliver equity-minded undergraduate research programs and resources that are accessible to students across all disciplines and demographics. Related to this goal, her research examines barriers to accessing undergraduate research experiences, including systemic inequities that may perpetuate gaps in opportunities for experiential learning

This opportunity is facilitated by the Office of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and the Arts.
