Live2Lead Series with Daniel Pink | Wednesday, January 30, 2019

The Leadership Academy hosted a three-part Live2Lead series. Students had the opportunity to watch inspirational leadership talks from some of the most prominent leadership experts in our society, as captured from the annual John Maxwell Company Live2Lead Conference. Engineering industry leaders were also present to unpack some of the leadership principles from these talks, with time for discussion and application.

Danny Dig, OSU computer science professor and an Executive Director of The John Maxwell Team, fecilitated Live2Lead, along with OSU engineering industry partners. He is certified to speak, facilitate, train, and coach individuals and groups in these areas. Dr. Dig has been trained and mentored by John Maxwell himself, and as a computer scientist, is not only interested in how humans can communicate with computers, but also helping humans to master their interactions with one another.

Session description: We all know that timing is everything. Trouble is, we don't know much about timing itself. Our business and professional lives present a never-ending stream of "when" decisions. But we make them based on intuition and guesswork. Timing, we believe, is an art. In this provocative and entertaining presentation, multiple New York Time best-selling author Daniel Pink showed that timing is really a science - one we can use to make smarter decisions, enhance our productivity, and boost the performance of our organizations.
