Leading a Startup Business

Facilitated by: Dan Whitaker

Leadership Academy Pillar: PROFESSIONAL

As a serial entrepreneur, Angel Investor, and Startup mentor, Dan Whitaker knows what it takes to connect ideas, research and passion to customers and markets.  With more than 15 start-ups and growth companies in Oregon under his belt, he’s “been there and done that”, and is always generous with his advice and support to other entrepreneurs.  During this session, Dan shared what it takes to start a successful business--including information about what the business needs to be effective and what it takes personally to make it happen.

Dan is extremely active in the Willamette Innovators Network, the Willamette Angel Conference, the Oregon Network, and the Oregon Angel Fund; his goal is to connect inventors with entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs with mentoring and funding.

Details and required event registrations are available in the Academy Portal for members.
