The Portland United Against Hate coalition seeks to host a virtual one-day anti-hate summit that provides much-needed resources and awareness to campuses seeking to address hate violence. To do this, our office seeks to engage with facilitators and speakers with a history of community advocacy in response to the listed topics: anti-Blackness, xenophobia, transphobia, misogynoir, trans misogynoir, police accountability, islamophobia, anti-Asian hate violence, missing and murdered Indigenous women, combating white nationalism, safe zones, bystander training. The overall goal is to provide students, staff, educators, and community members with data and tools to take actionable steps toward justice for those most impacted by hate.
