Janice Levenhagen-Seeley is the founder and CEO of ChickTech, a national nonprofit focused on increasing the number of girls and women in high pursuing STEM-based careers and retaining women in the technology workforce. Janice got her start in the tech world at OSU, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in computer engineering in 2006. She went on to earn her master’s in business administration at Willamette University, and harnessed her expertise in both engineering and business in various tech consulting roles, before founding ChickTech. Since 2012, ChickTech has supported women and girls in technology with community, education, and inspiration, with nearly 30 chapters nationwide. ChickTech creates its impact through summer camps, ChickTech: High School, meetup groups for adults in tech, and ACT-W conferences. In this special Launch-U session, Janice shared about her journey as an entrepreneur, as a woman in STEM, and lessons about leadership she has learned along the way.
