The Leadership Academy provides students with connections and skills that are the foundation of a successful career at no cost. Through events and learning opportunities the program supports student growth as leaders in the field of engineering, improves graduates' competitiveness for employment, and establishes their future success as early career professionals. We are located in the Leadership Center, in Johnson Hall 219. All engineering students are welcome to study, relax, and collaborate in this open space. Students hone their abilities by engaging in learning opportunities divided into five pillars of that comprise the core of a leader in engineering. Members of the Leadership Academy can join the Grand Challenge Scholars Program, a National Academy of Engineering program aimed at preparing engineers to collaborate and succeed in a transdisciplinary and global engineering environment.
Individual mentorship from engineering professionals is a key component to the many events provided by the program.
